The Shapes used in Bootfitting for ski boot deformations are mainly made of aluminum or wood. Aluminum is an extremely durable option, but the cost of the material and machining are high for small quantities. As for wood, it is increasingly expensive and difficult to find in high enough density.

I therefore turned to 3D printing to conduct numerous prototyping tests and develop a large catalog of lasts over the years, particularly for lengths stretches. During 2022 and 2023, I tested different polymers, optimized the settings to achieve good strength, and worked on this first last, the Standard Length Toe die, available in four sizes. By 2025, am offering three different lasts for length deformation of ski boots, as well as various oval and round shapes. This technology will also allow me to offer unique lasts in the future for specific cases, particularly for injured feet.

In order to be able to develop a catalog of important shapes, to be able to continuously modify them, to make custom-made while remaining at a competitive price on very small series, 3D printing is the solution!
