The shapes used in Bootfitting for ski boot punching and stretching are mainly made from aluminum or wood. Aluminum is an ultra-resistant option over time, but the price of machining and the materiel itself is high for small quantities. In wood, it is increasingly expensive and difficult to find the right quality in a fairly high density.

So I turned to 3D printing in order to be able to perform numerous prototyping tests and develop over the years a large catalogue of shapes, particularly for length stretching. Over the last two years, I have tested different polymers, optimized the settings to obtain good strength and worked on this first shape, the Standard Length Tip, available in 4 sizes. This technology also allows me in the future to offer unique shapes for specific cases, particularly for feet that have suffered injuries.

In order to be able to develop a large catalogue of shapes, to be able to modify them and to make custom-made products while remaining competitively priced for very small series, 3D printing is the solution!
